2024 Round up!

I love ending the year by reflecting on everything that has been achieved. It is the perfect time to celebrate, learn, and plan for what is next. And what a year it has been! 2024 has been truly special. I have had the chance to work with incredible clients, and seeing my little business grow has meant the world to me. It is such a joy to create beautiful imagery and share it with even more people.

Let’s explore what I got up to this year!

New Client Wins

It’s been amazing being able to work with so many new brands this year, from local independent businesses to global organisations. I’ve shared a few highlights from the amazing clients I’ve worked with this year below!

Osavi OOH Campaign

It was a bit of a pinch me moment seeing my photography on a London underground billboard! Osavi approached me needing a super quick turnaround for their campaign, needing the artwork to go to Transport for London the following day for a wider OOH campaign. The campaign was focused around USG and lifestyle content, and this was a fantastic campaign to be part of.

Buckley London Jewellery Shoot

Starting this year with a bang, this year my team & I produced a jewellery shoot for award-winning Buckley London to help them grow their online presence alongside a new website launch. We produced campaign imagery for Mother’s Day, Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day with both model and product photography. We managed all pre to post production, doing everything from styling and talent casting, to post-production. The images went live on the brand new website, plus we spotted the POS imagery displayed at various airports this summer!

Jacqueline & Edward Jewellery

Jacqueline & Edward are an ethical family-owned, independent jeweller with a twist. All of their products are handmade in North Yorkshire, all of their gold is river panned round the world and their materials are made from recycled precious metals, and diamonds are lab-grown or recycled gemstones. I worked with Jacqueline & Edward to produce a jewellery shoot to showcase the new range of earrings, necklaces, cufflinks and bracelets to compliment their beautiful bespoke wedding and engagement rings.

Bramhope Beauty Group Shoot

To celebrate their new clinic opening and refined market positioning, Bramhope Beauty Group wanted fresh, authentic visuals that truly represent their quality and services. I worked with their digital agency to capture a range of their signature treatments—including massages, clinical consultations, manicures & pedicures, brows, and makeup—focusing on intimate, moody photography with natural skin textures.

YorEnergy & Brightsparks Agency Photoshoot

I worked with York marketing agency Brightsparks on the new brand, YorEnergy, helping York residents to lower their bills by installing more efficient energy and heating solutions in their home. This project included home visits to community champions, creating product shots for usage across their website and social media platforms.

Tarttu Campaign

Inspired by art and a sense of rebellion, Tarttu is wearable art for those who want the aesthetics of gorgeous tattoos, without the commitment or pain! Like a fling on your skin. I worked with Tarttu on some campaign imagery to hero the brand and help position Tarttu for the next steps of their marketing.

Dutch Courage Lingerie

Dutch Courage Lingerie asked me to create stylish photos that capture their unique mix of boldness and romance. The brand focuses on sensual lingerie that stands out from the uninspiring and overly sexualised options in the market. Together, we created beautiful images that highlight their vision of softness and individuality, perfect for their website and social media.

ZARAMIA AVA Fashion Shoot

A brand born in Leeds, ZARAMIA AVA approached me because they needed a photographer to get new editorial style fashion photography to showcase their latest designs. We created an amazing series of cohesive fashion photography that can be used throughout ZARAMIA AVA’s social platforms and website, the images were all resized to work perfectly with all platforms.

Tilbea London ECommerce

Tilbea London design and create collections for all stages of motherhood, for bump, boobing and beyond. From everyday essentials, day-to-night must-haves and occasion wear designs, their clothing is created with longevity in mind so that their customers can wear their Tilbea designs during and after the baby phase.

IVORYONE Swimwear Shoot

IVORYONE has a deep connection to nature, the sea and sun is calming to your soul. The brand are guided by the essence of femininity, celebrating the beauty and power of the divine feminine. We created a beautiful series of fashion photography that can be used throughout IVORYONE’s social platforms and website, the images provided can all be resized and adjusted to work perfectly with all platforms for a seamless visual identity.

Eleri Davies portraiture

Earlier this summer, I was commissioned by Welsh Figurative Artist, Eleri Davies, to photograph a series of portraiture imagery to serve as a basis for her upcoming project. You can read more about the project here.

Fenwick York

2024 marks Fenwick’s 40th birthday in our beautiful city. I was commissioned to take photographs of their in-store celebrations for press & social to mark the special occasion.

Boudoir With Hannah went from strength to strength

While I mostly focus on commercial photography through Hannah Lunn Photography, my side brand “Boudoir with Hannah” knocked it out the park this year, after launching in December 2023. I’ve redefined my Boudoir offerings, so it’s the only service I offer with set packages rather than bespoke quoting based on my commercial jobs. I’ve had more and more women approach me to build their confidence, give images as a wedding gift or even gift a shoot to a friend.

I’ve also had a feature in Rock n Roll Bride magazine with plus size fashion influencer, Hannah Ogilvie-Young, “My Boudoir Shoot was the Confidence Boost I Needed Before Stepping into Marriage”.

Hannah put me at ease, styled the backdrops beautifully, and guided me into poses that accentuated my body and constantly checked that I was comfortable. It was genuinely a super easy process.

Sat for my first video interview!

This was actually really difficult to film and I was stumbling all over! Huge thank you to my video production partner Craig for keeping me calm, helping me to go again and editing all my word vomit out! We’ve got something very special lined up for 2025 - I’ll be sharing more info on that in the coming months!

Back in action with York Fashion Week!

I looove being involved and giving back to my local community, and having York Fashion Week right on my doorstep is a dream. Unfortunately I had Covid on the second part of YFW so I only managed to photograph Part 1 this year, but I meet so many talented, amazing creatives, brands and models through YFW it makes my little heart happy to be part of the media team in my favourite city!

Held my first Photography workshop and webinar for York Creatives

York Photographers are a branch of York Creatives in York. I was super excited to be invited to join the steering group this year, and since joining I hosted my first workshop for Photographers, “An Introduction to Studio Photography”. I also ran our first Webinar, “Photographer’s Website Masterclass” where I worked with photographers and videographers on their website to gain more leads and enquiries.

Launched my new website

Yep, you’re looking at it! I built this site earlier this year wanting to showcase my work more, with the flexibility to grow, add room to talk about my process and services and achieve an aesthetic to do my work justice. I launched my website in February 2024, and year-to-date vs 2023 I’ve had a 217.3% increase in organic traffic and a much larger conversion rate - so the hard work is paying off! I’ve also had countless compliments from clients about what I do and my photography style. With the new site I’ve been able to introduce more case studies to help talk about what I can support with, so if you’re new here - go take a look!

Hit 2k+ followers on Instagram

I don’t get too caught up with Instagram as the majority of my clients source me directly or visit my website, and it’s easy to get caught up on likes and Reels, however I’ve build a supportive community of fellow creatives and it’s a great place to show what you can do and play around. A huge thank you to new Instagram pals this year!

Invested in lots of new equipment

Wellllll it was about time! I’ve upgraded my gear to offer even more flexibility and efficiency for my clients. Here's what's new:

  • A full range of video lighting, allowing my team to capture more photos and stills on set without constantly changing setups - saving time without compromising results.

  • A new camera, portable bags and backdrops

  • Studio flash heads and modifiers to create versatile lighting for any project.

  • An expanded lens collection for stunning interior shots and creative editorial photography.

Plus, all my equipment is portable, so it’s perfect for both studio and on-location shoots. It’s all about making the process easier and delivering the best results for you!

Established my core services

This year was a huge year of growth and learning, and I’ve been able to refine my strategy and offerings. I have a core team established for my projects to be able to offer short-form and long-form videography, styling, makeup and tap into my model network for brands that have a specific look in mind! As a freelance photographer, I end up operating as a mini production agency often - Managing briefs, shotlists and timings, budgets and pre and post production in house. I find operating this way provides a much better result, value and experience for my clients.

Produced some stunning portfolio work

You can never stop working on personal projects, testing and experimenting, and building crucial relationships. Here’s a round up of my favourite work from 2024!

Resolutions for 2025

I always kick off the year with fresh goals, and sharing them helps keep me accountable! Here’s what I’m aiming for in 2025:

  • Publications: Achieve more publications in 2025 for both personal and client work.

  • Shoot Abroad: Take on more exciting shoots in unique (hopefully sunny!) locations.

  • Fine Art Focus: Go back to my fine art roots, creating some personal fine art projects and showcase them in an exhibition.

  • Film Photography: Produce a full shoot on film!

  • Expand Remote Offerings: Grow my remote shooting packages, especially product-specific work.

  • Industry Engagement: Deliver more talks at local colleges, schools, or universities.

  • Educating: Host more workshops for fellow creatives!

  • Sustainability: Develop materials and practices that focus on sustainable and environmentally-friendly shooting.

If you got to the bottom of this blog, thank you so much! To everyone who’s supported me, invested in my services or contributed to our work this year - You’re the best. All the love and best wishes for 2025! 💖
