Please choose a photographer who has extensive experience and a strong portfolio of high-quality work that showcases their skills and style. Take a proper look through their galleries, their website and social media accounts. Do you like what you see? Is the quality something you’d be happy to pay for? How do you like the retouching?

Testimonials

Safety first. Don’t work with anyone, or put yourself in any vulnerable situations without being sure of who you’re meeting with. There’s a reason I offer a 15 minute call for my clients to get to know me! Take the time to read any available testimonials from other clients or models the photographer might have worked with. Any respectable photographer would also be happy to introduce you to a client if you need reassurance about their character.

Respectful & Approachable

It's important to feel at ease with your photographer and to choose someone who is respectful, patient and understanding of your needs and desires to capture the outcome of what you wanted to achieve. The last thing you want is to be in a vulnerable position with someone who’s not super understanding. Put someone who puts your comfort first.

Photography Aesthetic

Each photographer will have their own unique photographic style, so it is important to find someone whose work resonates with you the most for what you want. Look for a photography style that reflects what you want, whether that’s tasteful and timeless or something that can show your personality a bit more!

Female Photographer

Working with a female photographer has it’s plus sides for your boudoir photography session. Female photographers can typically provide a more comfortable and empowering experience, as they can relate to you and understand how to capture and showcase the beauty and sensuality of the female form. A lot of my clients comment they could not imagine the same experience with a male photographer as they might struggle to be vulerable.

Boudoir photography is a private and intimate experience, so it's important to choose a photographer who respects your privacy and personal boundaries in a respectful manner.
