Shortlisted for Photographer of the year in the Yorkshire Blogger Awards 2023!

I am incredibly excited to announce that I have been shortlisted for the Yorkshire Blogger Awards 2023 for the first ever “photography” category!

This year's awards feature an array of categories, highlighting the diverse talents of Yorkshire's bloggers, businesses, and creatives. With categories spanning from crafting and food & drink to disability & mental health and fashion, the Yorkshire Blogger Awards 2023 aim to showcase the vibrant creative community in Yorkshire.

The awards are judged by an independent, expert panel and are open to Yorkshire businesses, bloggers and creatives.

Being shortlisted for the Yorkshire Blogger Awards holds significant meaning for me. My work revolves around creating content for small businesses, helping them maximise their fashion photography on a budget and utilise images as a vital part of their brand identity and visual content strategy.

Furthermore, I am dedicated to promoting female empowerment and work extensively with women in the York area. By producing beautiful boudoir portraits, I provide a transformative experience for women who may have little or no previous experience in front of the camera. These empowering sessions aim to boost confidence, foster self-expression, and create cherished memories through stunning imagery.

Inclusivity and diversity are core values that I try to heavily embed in my work. Through my website blog, I aim to educate and inspire industry professionals to embrace positive change in the fashion world. I advocate for representing diverse races, religions, sizes, body types, disabilities, tattoos, skin conditions, and genders, challenging traditional beauty standards and promoting a more inclusive industry.

On a personal level, being shortlisted for such an incredible award is a fantastic achievement, it means a lot to me that people love my photographs that I put my heart and soul into. Winning the award however, will allow me to continue to spread my message of inclusivity and diversity for those who need representation to help shape the industry from the inside. 

The Yorkshire Blogger Awards

The award’s night will be held at The Queens Hotel in Leeds, Saturday 30th September 2023. Tickets are available for purchase to the prestigious event. The evening will be recognising the successes of fantastic Yorkshire-based bloggers, influencers and YouTubers. It will be a fabulous night of networking, storytelling...and food!
