Red Hot & Run Wild - York Urban Fashion Shoot
If you ever needed proof that York is not just cobbles and teashops, here it is.
This shoot with Holly was all about power, edge and big flash energy. We hit up a hidden corner of York at night — think fire escapes, signage and a whole load of industrial texture — and let her flaming red hair set the tone.
Armed with my trusty flash, I wanted to bring out the contrast between Holly’s fierce presence and the raw, gritty urban backdrop. There’s something electric about using artificial light in dark spaces. Every detail snaps to life, from the chrome heels to the brickwork and that fur coat moment.
Her styling was a perfect match for the mood — bold, striking and unapologetic. The kind of vibe that makes you think of glam rock album covers and underground club flyers. We shot on stairwells, beside emergency exits and against industrial doors for contrast, places most would walk past. With the right lighting and the right muse? Gold. Holly absolutely owned the space, bringing intensity and flair to every frame.
