Capturing the Leeds RAG Fashion Show 2025

Leeds RAG Fashion Show (LRFS) brought together creativity, fashion, and fundraising in a bold showcase at The Refectory. This year’s theme, Zeitgeist (the defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time), explored how fashion reflects and shapes society. But it wasn’t just about the outfits. The show told a story, challenged ideas, and raised money for important causes.

Curated by the university’s fashion students, each scene walked through a different era in fashion. From the structured silhouettes of the Victorian era to the effortless glamour of the 1920s and the statement looks of the 1960s, the runway was a timeline of style. The final scene looked to the future, confronting fast fashion and championing sustainability.

LRFS wasn’t just about aesthetics. The event raised money for Mind, Women’s Aid Leeds, and Emmaus Leeds, supporting mental health services, domestic abuse survivors, and people experiencing homelessness. A reminder that fashion can make a real difference.
