A day at Fernhill Castle
At the end of 2024, I was commissioned for a fashion and beauty style shoot at Fernhill Castle. This stunning castle is situated in Skipton West Yorkshire, and I was super excited to see what we could achieve there!
The mansion itself can sleep 30 people over 10 bedrooms. Sat on 15 acres of land in the heart of a Yorkshire countryside, we shot in the master bedroom, the billiard room, outside the property and within the many lounge areas with so many fireplaces and gorgeous panelled rooms. There were so many quirky corners and each room had so much character. Obsessed!
We were very lucky on the day, considering it was November, we had gorgeous strong sunlight pouring through the windows which allowed us to capture lots of sets in the atmospheric natural light, before switching to flash when the sun went down.

Through our pre-shoot communication and moodboards, we decided that we wanted to capture editorial-inspired fashion imagery that showed the castle’s unique charm while showcasing my client’s natural beauty in multiple sets throughout the day. I also captured imagery of her friends and family during the evening - and you can also spot the most boujee Italian Greyhound having her moment below!
